EVNNPT needs to ensure safe, continuous and stable electricity transmission for the country’s socio-economic development and people’s lives.
This is the direction of Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at enterprises given at the 2020 summary conference of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), on the afternoon of January 18.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh said that 2021 will be a year of continuous difficulties, especially the COVID-19 pandemic is assessed to continue to develop complicatedly, affecting all aspects of socio-economic life.
He requested that in 2021, EVNNPT should ensure safe, continuous and stable electricity transmission for the country’s socio-economic development and people’s lives; complete targets and tasks of the 2021 plan and the 2021-2025 5-year plan on production, business, construction investment, strive to ensure that by 2025, 100% of 220kV substations have remote control systems and unmanned operation, and become one of the power transmission organizations in the 10 leading countries in Asia.
At the conference, Chairman of EVN’s Member Council Duong Quang Thanh requested that in 2021, EVNNPT strengthen solutions to accelerate investment in construction of power projects; apply science and technology in project management, digitize construction investment stages; ensure safe operation of transmission grid without subjective incidents.
According to Mr. Pham Le Phu, General Director of EVNNPT in 2020, EVNNPT and its member units have drastically implemented synchronous technical management and operation solutions to prevent and promptly handle problems, defects, and abnormal phenomena on the grid.
EVNNPT has operated a safe, continuous, and stable transmission power system, contributing to ensure adequate supply of electricity for the country’s socio-economic development and people’s lives, with the power output of 203.85 billion kWh, 2% higher than that of 2019.
During the year, the Corporation started 39 projects and energized 38 projects, among which, projects for electrical power energization in 2020 will play a very important role in helping to release the capacity of renewable energy sources.
About the year 2021, Mr. Phu said, EVNNPT chose the theme of the year “Digital transformation”, with the aim of continuing to promote the roadmap for applying science and technology in the Corporation’s activities; integrating technology and management model appropriate with the process of applying digital technology, artificial intelligence to the Corporation’s business and production activities, in order to increase operational efficiency, as well as innovate, and optimize costs.
EVNNPT will also promote the application of drones, surveillance cameras and AI in the management, repair, maintenance, and operational supervision of transmission lines and substations.
