On July 13, 2019, in Binh Thuan, Ha Do Binh Thuan JSC held the inauguration ceremony of Hong Phong 4 Solar Power Plant with a capacity of 48MWp after more than 1 month of operating the national grid and generating commercial electricity.
Hong Phong 4 Solar Power Plant project is located in Hong Phong commune, Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province. The project has an area of 58,1 ha, with total investment of 1,100 billion VND. This is one of the projects that uses modern and advanced technologies of G7 countries such as: very high-efficient panels up to 19.4%, with a capacity of 400W each from Sunpower (USA) that helps to save land area, as well as synchronized AC Station equipment (Inverter + MV Transformer + RMU) of SMA (Germany) for safe and fast construction operation, together with fast and stable power quality for operation. The project has 22/110kV (2x25MVA) substation with synchronous equipment of ABB. In addition, the advanced SCADA system developed by SunPower is also used in Hong Phong 4 project and is applied to 5 GW of solar power to support the operation management globally with high reliability and good performance.
As the main contractor of the project,Saigon Gia Dinh Electric JSC has completed responsibilities and tasks with 88 working days, contributing to the success of solar power projects that use the most modern and advanced technology and the shortest construction time in Vietnam.

Hong Phong 4 Solar Power Plant has energized the 22/110kV substation on May 28, 2019, and connected to the national grid on May 31, 2019. And June 4, 2019 was officially recognized by Electricity Trading Company of Vietnam National Electricity Group as the date of commercial operation.
Accordingly, with nearly 120950 panels installed by Saigon Gia Dinh Electric JSC that helps to absorb the radiation of sunlight, which is converted into electricity and loaded to the national grid, and connected to the project separate power supply system.
Expectedly, the fact that Hong Phong 4 Solar Power Plant comes into operation not only supplies electricity to Vietnam grid, but also creates jobs and income for the local residents, contributing to environmental protection and climate change prevention.
