Energy is an important factor in the country’s socio-economic development. As one of the countries with the most sunshine distribution band of the year on the world’s solar radiation map, Vietnam has a huge potential for developing solar power. The use of solar power instead of traditional energy not only contributes to the country’s economic development, ensures energy security, but also contributes to conserving energy resources and minimizing negative impacts on the environment.
Vietnam’s solar power market has been growing faster than ever. A series of solar power plants has been constantly appearing across the provinces. EHCMC has also left its mark in the solar power market through three solar power projects in the Southern Central Region.
1. Fujiwara solar power plant – the first factory in Binh Dinh
On April 3, 2018, at Nhon Hoi Economic Zone City, Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh Province, Fujiwara Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Fujiwara Binh Dinh Wind and Solar Power Plant.

Fujiwara Binh Dinh solar power plant is located on the slopes of Phuong Mai mountain in Nhon Hoi economic zone, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh Province. The project is built on an area of 60.4 hectares with a capacity of 50MWp, invested by Fujiwara Binh Dinh Co., Ltd. and Saigon Gia Dinh Electric Joint Stock Company as the EPC contractor.

After 2 years of construction, the Fujiwara Binh Dinh solar power plant has been put into trial operation since June 2019. It was officially put into operation, and connected to the national grid.
On August 19, at Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, Fujiwara Binh Dinh Vietnam Co., Ltd officially inaugurated Fujiwara Binh Dinh Solar Power Plant.
Fujiwara Binh Dinh Solar Power Plant is grid-connected to the 110 kV Nhon Hoi station, with a length of nearly 1km. Every day, the Fujiwara Binh Dinh solar power plant supplies about 3,000 kWh to the grid, with a turnover of about 550 million dong.

When put into operation, the plant will promote the program of developing clean energy sources in Vietnam, contributing to increasing electricity sources for the national grid, directly serving Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and creating a new image, typical for Binh Dinh province to contribute to the development of the province’s tourism. At the same time, create more jobs for workers and contribute significantly to the local budget.

2. Hong Phong 4 solar power plant in Binh Thuan province has advanced technology
In March 2019, in Hong Phong commune, Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province, the investor of Ha Do Group held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Hong Phong 4 Solar Power Plant.

The project was built on an area of 58.1 hectares with a total capacity of 48MWp by Saigon Gia Dinh Electric Joint Stock Company.

After more than 2 months of construction, Hong Phong 4 solar power plant also officially joined the grid on May 31, 2019 and went into commercial operation on June 4, 2019.
On the morning of July 13, in Hong Phong commune, Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province, Ha Do Group held the inauguration ceremony of Hong Phong 4 solar power plant.

This is one of the projects using modern and advanced technology from G7 countries such as, using the unidirectional rotation technology – the tracking system of Ideematec (Germany) brings higher power than the fixed racking technology up to 25% and stable. The annual electricity output reaches 92 million kWh.
Being the main contractor for the Hong Phong 4 solar power project, Saigon Gia Dinh Power Joint Stock Company has met the schedule as originally committed to the investor. With only 88 working days, all commanders, electrical engineers and workers have made endless efforts to meet technical expertise in construction, contributing to the success of the project.
3. SP – Infra 1 solar power plant , Ninh Thuan Project also known as Ha Do Ninh Phuoc

Following the success of the Hong Phong 4 solar power project in Binh Thuan. Ha Do Group continued to trust and choose Saigon Gia Dinh Electric Joint Stock Company (EHCMC) as the construction contractor to perform the construction and installation of the entire SP – Infra 1 solar power plant, Ninh Thuan. Thus, “the road named renewable energy”, was once again built by EHCMC.

Located on an area of 58.73 hectares, part of Phuoc Vinh commune and Phuoc Thai commune, Ninh Phuoc district, Ninh Thuan province. Expected completion and commercial energization of the project is August 2020. In particular, the construction and completion of factory installation only took 60 days by Saigon Gia Dinh Electricity Joint Stock Company.

This is the most technologically advanced solar power project in Vietnam. Using the Ideematec rotation system, the support rotates in the direction of sunlight. Making the most of the sun’s radiation in the southernmost central region of Vietnam.

Facing the trend of developing renewable energy, green, clean and environmentally friendly, as well as providing optimal solutions to save electricity costs for customers and partners, EHCMC also promotes rooftop solar power development in factories and households as well as supplying solar power equipment and materials for construction companies across the country.
With an existing experience background with the same criterion “Clean energy – Green life”, EHCMC will continue to develop, becoming a unit specializing in the construction of photovoltaic plants with large capacity and leading the whole countries to build and install the national grid in the future.
