{"id":4106,"date":"2020-08-26T04:05:29","date_gmt":"2020-08-26T04:05:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ehcmc.com.vn\/?p=4106"},"modified":"2020-09-12T03:53:51","modified_gmt":"2020-09-12T03:53:51","slug":"standards-for-solar-panels-are-soon-required","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ehcmc.com.vn\/en\/standards-for-solar-panels-are-soon-required\/","title":{"rendered":"Standards for solar panels are soon required"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"kt-adv-heading_10fd19-fa\">Conference on rooftop solar power development in Vietnam<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Hoang Manh Tan, Deputy Director of Son Ha Group and Director of Son Ha Energy Development Joint Stock Company, said there was a problem concerning&nbsp;poor production of <a href=\"https:\/\/ehcmc.com.vn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (m\u1edf trong tab m\u1edbi)\">solar&nbsp;panels<\/a>,&nbsp;and proposed to the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) to create standards for these panels soon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the morning of  August 25<sup>th<\/sup> , in Hanoi, Vietnam Sustainable Energy Alliance (VSEA), Vietnam Coalition for Climate Action (VCCA), Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) and other partners held the 2020 Renewable Energy (RE) Week of Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vietnam 2020 Renewable Energy Week, which &nbsp;was a series of events and seminars with the message &#8220;A breakthrough for recovery and  green  development for a peaceful life&#8221;, was conducted in August 25<sup>th<\/sup> and 28<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the morning of August 25<sup>th<\/sup>, there&nbsp;was a seminar about &#8220;Development of&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (m\u1edf trong tab m\u1edbi)\" href=\"http:\/\/facebook.com\/ehcmc.com.vn\" target=\"_blank\">rooftop solar power<\/a>&nbsp;in Vietnam: Benefits, bottlenecks and solutions to remove&#8221; with 3 topics: Current status of rooftop solar power development,&nbsp;long-term policy to exploit the potential of&nbsp;rooftop&nbsp;solar&nbsp;power in Vietnam, and&nbsp;financial clearance for&nbsp;rooftop&nbsp;solar power.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ehcmc.com.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/3-1066x600.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3586\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Notably, in the financial clearance session for rooftop solar\npower, Mr. Hoang&nbsp;Manh Tan &#8211; Deputy Director of Son Ha Group and Director\nof&nbsp;Son Ha Energy&nbsp;Development JSC, said that there was a problem of\npoor quality solar panels production and expressed his concern if these panels\nwere used for rooftop solar power systems.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe solar battery standard is currently waiting for the\nofficial announcement from MOST.&nbsp;We are acknowledged that there are already\nstandards for solar panels but it is very hard to check. Vietnam Power\nCorporation (EVN) is also unable to evaluate all products and in need of specific\nstandards.&nbsp;Importers must also have clear criteria for checking.&nbsp;Some\nsolar panels which do not meet the standards are still available the market.\nEven poor quality solar panels of grades B and C were manufactured in Vietnam\nand then exported to China. But who knows they would return to Vietnam?&#8221;&nbsp;&#8211;\nMr. Tan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, Deputy Director of&nbsp;Son Ha Group said that if\nbusinesses are only competing on price, they will definitely sell poor quality\nproducts and in the next 5-7 years, it will be hard to handle malfunctioned solar\npanels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Talking about the financial clearance for rooftop solar power,\nMr. Tan said that there should be a link with a number of banks and there are exclusive\nprograms for solar energy development, thereby advising people to develop solar\npower on every roof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding huge potential of rooftop solar power for\nsocio-economic development in spite of increased electricity prices, especially\nprogressive electricity, installing solar power to cut off high-priced progressive\nelectricity is also a way people are making use of.&nbsp;However, this is a new\nsource of energy, so it requires higher costs.\u201d- Mr. Tan said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sharing the way of Son Ha Group, Mr. Tan affirmed, benefits will\ndetermine the factors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn addition to installing rooftop solar power system, the group\nalso leases roof area for installation, and have business association with\nunits that have roofs for installation.
